While Americans worry about paying rent and putting food on the table, Republicans are having lunch with the President at Mar-a-Lago 2.0, formally the Rose Garden, to celebrate sticking together to raise YOUR health care costs.

These are not normal times.

“The incredible Rose Garden, it’s just an incredible place,” Trump said in remarks that opened up the lunch.

Cheeseburgers and fries were on the menu, as well as “Rose Garden chocolates” for dessert.

Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer called the White House meeting a “pep rally” and said it’s “shameful” that House Speaker Mike Johnson has kept the House out of town during the shutdown. Schumer says his side wants to end the shutdown and fix the health care premium crisis that “looms over 20 million hardworking Americans.”

Trump hosts White House dinner for GOP lawmakers at paved space he dubbed ‘Rose Garden Club’

Table settings featured white tablecloths and yellow roses, plus a place card that said, “The Rose Garden Club at the White House.”

Dinner started with a Rose Garden Salad that included tomatoes and iceberg lettuce, followed by steak or chicken, or pasta primavera for vegetarians. Chocolate cake was the dessert.
