New WH Ballroom-Massive Money Laundering Operation

Literally right out of the WH. Isn’t it obvious? This is what he does, uses construction projects to launder money. Huge no bid contracts, massive cost overruns, never ending work and delays that add to cost. Bribes right out in the open labeled “donations” to the project. I’ll bet it never gets finished, it’s not supposed to. It’s just a money pit to cover a massive slush fund for Trumps personal use.

How would that make sense?
Why would oligarchs care about laundering money. 99% of their fortunes are legally obtained. We may fairly question their ethics & morals, but there's no evidence they broke the law.
Look, I don't care for this "remodeling project" any more than you do, but I think it's easier to chalk it up to a megalomaniac wasting money to pay homage to himself.
You want to speculate that there are kickbacks involved, I can buy that.
But, money laundering seems far fetched.

Accusing a DUer who's been here 24 years of being that crook?
Tell me you don't know what money laundering is without saying "I don't know what money laundering is".
Never mind; you just did.
Finally, quote anything I wrote that is defending this waste of money.
Never mind; you can't.

Your term was money laundering, a hobby T had in his NY T Tower by the way. I did not use that term. If you don’t know that we have been played by his stock market manipulation, bit coin and scams then my heart goes out to you. He doesn’t do anything without a percentage of the deal! I don’t have a specific term for his thefting! But I will say that I have said all that I have energy to about that SF.

The OP uses the term "money laundering". Not my term, but the OP's.
I know the history very well, thank you.
And, I CLEARLY said I would buy there are kickbacks.
Reading for comprehension is a skill. You should work on it, but you're obviously not good at it now.

And who knows what else. The project is supposedly being funded by donations from private companies. The whole thing is opaque, and Trumps whole business model was using construction projects to launder money.

new locale to play super show-off. He'll host parties that people will pay to attend -- like he does at MALago. Can also imagine him turning it into a restaurant where the paying public can dine and tour the WH by appointment.

What gets me is the sheer size of the place -- 90,000 sq ft is yuge -- a bit more than two acres of land. It will dwarf the WH.

Ostensibly go into the project, go to the “contractors” then come back to Trump. Money laundering, turning project “funding” into Trumps personal slush fund. It’s laundering massive bribes, and god know what else. Who’s auditing this project? It’s completely opaque because it’s supposedly NOT public funds, it’s “donations” for the project.

Not that I know thing 1 about money laundering, but…

…if that’s what it is, it’s just a continuation of his endless grifting, and using whatever power he has for increasing levels of grift.

However, I see the metaphors as more the issue. Between the King Shit-dumper video and the destruction of the East Wing, he is further declaring his disgust with our system of government and the people, mostly his opponents, but really everyone. He is marking territory and it’s all his territory.
