KABC: CHIRLA heat map shows most LA-area immigration operations have happened in San Fernando Valley

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- One of the largest immigrant rights groups in Southern California is keeping tabs on the federal immigration enforcement across Los Angeles, and some say the data they've collected over the past month and a half is very revealing.

The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) just released a color-coded heat map of immigration activity across L.A.

CHIRLA says it shows how immigration enforcement actions since June have focused predominantly on specific neighborhoods, people of color and Latinos.

The map accounts for 471 confirmed enforcement operations from day one, back on June 6, through this past Sunday.
