The cost of houses there is off the charts, and the people there (and the Vineyard) hold LOTS of fundraisers every summer. Obama and the Clintons were regulars, and this year, I know Senators Ossoff and Hickenlooper are coming, and I think Katie Hobbs of Arizona was planning a trip, though I don’t know exactly when. If Nantucket weren’t such a pain to get to from Provincetown, I’d be making the trek over there myself a couple of times just to see “the gang.” I know there are people that hire private planes for just such occasions. I am not one of them.

Like my classmate who participates in many Democratic fundraisers there every year, and my feminist comedienne friend, Jane Condon, who is also involved in many fundraisers only for Democrats from all over the country. Prissy Democrats like Senator Jon Ossoff and Governor Katie Hobbs.

Generalizations usually are wrong, and very often unjustly attack by vague innuendo. Let’s all go kill “the rich” because we’re jealous of their success. Never mind that a great many of Nantucket’s well-off are friends of the Democrats and give us a LOT of money. If parades of Clintons, Obamas, and Democratic Senators, Congresspeople and Governors go to Nantucket every summer, it’s not to look at real estate or hang with “prissy” people. It’s to ask for financial support in a place in Massachusetts with a concentration of people s are well-off AND share our views. Yeah, there are a few rich Republicans, too. You’ll also find Democrats in Idaho and Oklahoma. That doesn’t make Idaho or Oklahoma bastions of progressivism any more than a couple of disgusting Republicans make the rest of Nantucket “prissy” wealthy spoiled people. If ICE sent a brigade there, it wasn’t in order to arrest people working for Republican hotshots.

20. My daughter and famlly have a home on Chappaquiddick Island. I missed my yearly summer trip there this July due to my

ailing husband who needed me. We might be able to go to Chappy at Thanksgiving altho the little ferry from the Vineyard runs fewer times in the off season. Chappy is quiet, no street lights where they live so it's dark early by Thanksgiving.

Too bad the repukes don't like it. Fine with me.

…Parenthood. I lived in a solidly middle class neighborhood with a solidly middle class lifestyle. However, being a liberal volunteer got me to some interesting places — and we Dems do have friends.
