She says she is just moving her family to Tennessee and they are expanding their business in that area but headquarters are still staying in California and she loves and appreciates California.
Shows how full of shit people are. Yes, California can be more expensive but it's also more profitable. Even having success in the red states will not bring as much as what California does.

(23,086 posts)She's pissed off California has a decent minimum wage and there are robust UE insurance and health care systems she has to pay into.
These people are so out of touch, they think the $16.50 minimum wage in CA is somehow a lot because they remember working at an Ice Cream shop in the 80s or 90s and making $4.00 an hour.

(11,650 posts)Not sure about today, but they used to pay well over minimum wage and were known for being very employee-friendly.
That allowed them to hire good people and retain them. One of the reasons they were successful was that the employees were happy. That meant better quality food and better service.
