It appears to me, we are lost in our response to the

swelling tide headed our way.
We are preparing rather than building sand castles.
Some are beckoning leadership, but unsurety awaits.
Methinks ropeadope.

We have little sway, but still,
say.

Madness at the helm and adoration 'round.
Our choices ahead, are not sound.

Voters choose what they portend,

Happiness only, at the end.

Now, according to some "telltales" I placed in low holes in the fence which it habitually used,
it may have survived... or another, can't say for sure....

but for six days the "tell-tales" were not knocked over,
now they ARE... Haven't seen any but the knocked-over rocks tell the tale.
Something is again moving out there....

Shooting it with a pellet air-rifle was the "last resort",
I have been battling this beast for several years,
one year it ate up my entire garden, and all other recommended remedies have been exhausted...

Is my response to your post irrelevant? I don't think so.
