From a "Friend" who has suffered and given probably more than necessary or possible for his country.

I got this from an old friend who asked it be posted. He knows I post various things here, usually in the humor forum. He's nearing his end time and wanted to make a comment. I had some concerns about posting this for him but he insisted.

“Trump and the Maga have made me wonder just why I and thousands of others spent 2 or more years risking our lives in the 60s and 70s and with those from the 90s to 2015 so a grotesque version of a human named Trump and the ignorant who support him don’t care that we sacrificed our time and in many cases, lives, or that others that came back injured or with mutilated bodies to make sure an aristocratic industrial complex, a couple of Foundations of wealthy, greedy religious hypocrites and soulless and traitorous partisan politicians could destroy the country we defended so they could have more money and power then act as those we fought against. Those in power now are not Americans for Americans would not act this way. These people are inhuman, selfish, uncaring garbage. I’m ashamed of what these vermin, to use Trump’s word, have done to the people of America and the world.

What may be worse is the division the Republican Party and basically, the ultra wealthy has created over the last 50 years among the states and people of America. This contempt has resulted in why this country should never again be called the “United States of America.” There seems to be no “United” in that phrase because certain “states” and their elected officials and many regular citizens wish to impose their will on all of us. We are no longer "United." They wish to have only one particular “race” as superior. Further, they wish to remove any who are not like themselves or don’t believe what they believe and brazenly support those who ignore or use a quasi-legal interpretation of our Constitution to twist its meaning for their benefit only.

To all those who are creating this monstrosity of fascism, we say, be careful what you try. We will win out. You have a choice now to change and help remove this political blight. But your time is running out for that change. You need to reconsider for yourselves and your families. If you do not, when we do win out, there will be no amnesty, no compassion, no leniency, no reprieve for any of you regardless of your position or excuse. You will be treated as you treated us, here in America or possibly elsewhere. You will be tried as you tried those you wronged with the same regard to the laws you have ignored. You will pay the same or worse penalties. You may not be able to imagine it now but you will learn and experience what we and those you have wronged have gone through. What you have done can not stand for it is contrary to all American and human ideals.

I and thousands of others have not fulfilled our required obligation or choice to this country so you can treat All Americans and indeed all people as less than you. WE are ALL equal regardless of your opinions. We offered our lives and “sacred honor” as requested and required. We will not be treated simply as lower class people. We will not forget. We will not forgive.”
