They just had a much greater margin of noticeable error between actual journalism and propaganda before the Internet grew strong enough to form a counter balance to their corporate spew.

Personally I started picking up on it during the 2000 election, they became as parrots repeating each other's bs without any context.

From morning shows to late night comedy and most all news in between they worked to morph consideration for the most powerful job in the land as if it should be someone that you would be comfortable partying with.

"Who would you rather have a beer with" and "Al Gore claimed to have invented the Internet" etc. etc. etc.

I believe they did this primarily because Al Gore actually was the chief legislative champion for opening the Internet to the people, and the corporate media recognized a growing competitive threat to their corporate centric domination of information and preferred a more malleable party boy as President.

Thanks for the thread tulipsandroses

Mika was justifying the "red pill" movement's main idea - that men (specifically WHITE men) are truly the victims of societal repression and feminist tropes that emasculate them for just 'being men'.

I won't bother boring anyone with what "red pill" is (if you know, you know), but suffice it to say, they sent her out to read this copy and in 15 seconds she obilterated any work she has done for years tyring to (maybe in name or show only) promote women's rights.

Let me be clear - men are NOT under attack anymore than fucking Christmas was ever under attack. Its the same goddamn playbook on fucking endless loops - always the victims, always so oppressed, always screaming for the need to prosecute others and give them a free pass. I'm just sickened by the whole thing.

I wish this country would just hurry up and partition so I can decide where to settle and just how far away I need to go to be freed from this imbeciles, bigots and fools.

Today was just particularly ugly because of the context and subcontext of the piece that gives tacit approval to the online dude-bros and manoverse of little boys with tiny pricks who feel it is OK to blame women for all of their own short comings (poun 100% intended).

Choosing Sarah Palin as McCain's running mate and supporting Howard Schultz are two glaring examples. It's truly baffling that anyone on this site still takes his word seriously.

The same goes for David Frum, the Lincoln Project, Ron Filipkowski, and a host of other Republicans and conservatives who simply don't like Trump.

Which is by far a much greater offense than Palin. Alito shows where his core ideological convictions lay. He only switched over when Trump displaced him, and he realized he could make millions with cheap YouTube videos aimed at our side (with the leftover tens of millions distributed among friends and family). Yeah, he pretends he dislikes all of his core convictions now, but I don't even slightly believe him. He's done far, far, far too much damage.

If he were earnest, he wouldn't be using his perch to pocket millions in donations.

It's just a performance for the grift. We can listen to just about anyone else for free.

which (according to you) could have better stated Steve Schmidt's position on Fox and their 'contributions' to the current media climate. Not to mention, the notion that Tapper and Scarborough 'turned' journalism into propaganda, is absurd.

Further, the article is perfectly relevant as Schmidt is criticizing Tapper for promoting the same kind of bullshit he did, when he was paid to advance the "Biden's too old" bullshit on behalf of his candidate.

I have no plans to watch the video unless the title is changed to one that is more accurate, thanks.

Tapper is currently engaging in propaganda to sell his book, as well as appearing in RW spaces to do so. Telling them they were right all along.
To be fair, saying you think Biden was too old to serve a second term is not the same as saying he is in mental decline and sundowning and there was a conspiracy to cover it up. A conspiracy, worse than Watergate. A conspiracy that Joe Biden participated in to deceive the public.
He accuses Biden's family of being part of the cover up, smearing Jill Biden, whom he claims was enamored with the lifestyle of being First Lady so she lied to JB about his chances and was part of the cover up. He also claims Hunter was part of the cover- up to save himself from going to jail.

The worst part of all this, is Tapper admits that there is no evidence that Biden failed to do his job as president in any way. The sources giving him information, also said the same. They attested to him making sound decisions. That little tidbit is in the book.
Yet, he is not promoting that part in all his interviews with RW hosts. Just feeding them more propaganda.
What Tapper is doing is on another level.
