SSN payment pending...WTF

Normally my social security payment posts on the third Wednesday of the month which would have been 21 May. On Friday 23 May my bank showed a deposit from SSA pending until 28 May. So my payment will be eight days late when it posts. Anyone else seeing this?

Why did they make a late deposit that wouldn't clear for five more days?

14. My May SS check was deposited 2 days early. Where do I go on DU to complain about that?

My checks usually come on the 3rd of the month which in May was a Saturday but it was deposited on Thursday, May 1st. My SS check being deposited early is UNACCEPTABLE!

Do you have an online SS account? I'd check that first, for any notices. If you don't have one, sign up for one. Also, call your bank. Maybe they know something?

Never seen a deposit made into my account that won't clear for more than a week...strange.

always say "pending" for a couple of days. The money is also already in my account and available to my account.

So during that time when your deposit is supposedly pending, does your account balance include your SS amount?

I'm not sure why people here are so disposed to hoping their SS doesn't arrive.

I usually have the cash ten days before the end of the month...as of today it's still pending.

I suspect that is exactly the case with you and everyone else who gets SS.

I'll ask you, what is the total amount in your account? Does it include the SS? I'm betting it does. If I'm wrong, if the money somehow still isn't in there, you probably should contact the Social Security Administration, although good luck with that, I know.

I get my SSDI two days earlier then payday by the bank, but they are always pending until the actual payday.

I just checked my SS deposits, and I get mine on the 3rd Wednesday of the month also.

And because we get our SS on a specific weekday of a specific week, not simply on the same date every month, there can be as much as a week's difference between when the money arrives one month compared to another.

Although you should have been able to do that wire transfer by now, I hope.
