The speech ended with a standing ovation.

(72,736 posts)Trump faced jail and bankruptcy.
Putin faced the loss of Ukraine, his wealth, and power.
Musk faced loss of govt contracts and investigation by numerous agencies for his wrong doing.
The greedy corrupt billionaires demand no taxes, no regulation, and no consequences for their crimes.
And none of these people changed one vote.
Sure.

(8,774 posts)all robbed - but not by any kind of fraud which is provable in court. Yes, there were a few - very few (and all Republican) - ballots filled out be surviving spouses or children of deceased voters, but there were very few, definitely not enough of them to change any vote totals even at the small town level, and also not enough to change even one state..
Propaganda on social media playing on people's prejudices and fears , done by foreign agents hiding behind anonymity is not something defined as a crime of fraud in the U.S.Code. (And if it were, how could it be enforced?) Maybe it should be a criminal offense - but enforcement would still be a huge problem.

(287,134 posts)But I think there was fraud in those swing states

(60,430 posts)This includes Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Arizona where the Governor and Secretary of State were both Democrats. In Nevada, we had the Secretary of State, while the governor was Republican. Of the swing states, only Georgia had Republicans controlling both.

(20,959 posts)they only had FOUR YEARS to come up with a plan for those few swing states, work out the kinks, and set it all up. Surely the Thiel and Muskrat tech bros wouldn't have an interest in that gig no matter how big the bonus, amirite?

(438 posts)Smaller and smaller crowds, people leaving in droves while he was still talking, only a handful of people to greet him at airports, the list goes on and on. Plus, many of us who live in red states noticed fewer Trump yard signs than the first time he ran.
Compare that to Kamala's massive crowds with standing room only, people waiting in line for hours to see her, Trump 'winning' blue swing states - well, DUers know the drastic distinctions and remarkable contradictions - It simply doesn't add up.
Not only is he a con, he in all likelihood an illegitimate president.

(1,541 posts)Unfortunately I think that's why the video quality was so R2-D2--the event was not publicly broadcast.
This does--unfortunately for the United States--appear to be a bit of a pivot from a political schedule. Hopefully it's just a small detour on the way to becoming Governor of California.

(3,369 posts)Did she not warn of the dangers of repeating the global mistakes of the 1930s, or emphasize the importance of international alliances and trust?
Did she not get a standing ovation?

(4,496 posts)That he won all the swing states. No I don't believe that. $250 million greases a lot of hands. I, for one would love to see receipts for what he spent that on. There was a reason why he spent that amount of money, and it wasn't to help f47, it was to help him.
