LOL!! Speaker Johnson: Important distinction- President Trump does everything out in the open.

Jake Tapper: You oversaw an investigation into Biden’s ties to Hunter’s questionable business dealings. You seemed to think that was your job back then.

2. Trump is Nixon on steroids, where all of the secret, illegal use of government is public

Johnson has a point. Trump is Nixon on steroids, where all of the secret, illegal use of government is public and actually the GOP and their supporters are reveling in the un-American authoritarianism to crush opponents and implement his agenda. Trump is going much further than Nixon in using the potential power of the Presidency to maximum effect. The GOP has been pushing the idea of a unitary executive, based on the Constitution assigning the President all of the executive power since Reaqan. Trump is showing exactly what that means.

Nobody ever accused Nixon of being stupid to the point of being brain dead. Nobody ever claimed Nixon had zero political skills. And at his very worst, nobody ever warned of Nixon planning on doing away with democracy and replacing it with a police state---which is exactly what trump and his evil appointees are in the process of doing, right now.

Johnson reminds me of that sinister horror "Chucky" character.
