If Trump tries to dismiss Congress like King Charles I dismissed Parliament in 1629, will you roll over for this too?
You took an oath to defend the Constitution. If you're unwilling to do that, resign NOW!

(5,475 posts)After dismissing Parliament, events led to the English Civil War and the overthrow and execution of Charles I in 1649. Oliver Cromwell became "Lord Protector" of England for 11 years. In 1650, the monarchy was restored with Charles' son, Charles II.
