Are you going to do better than 4% unemployment with inflation below 3% and the economy growing 2.8% in real terms? Because that's the economy Trump was given.

(879 posts)there's that little problem of the increase of $4,500,000,000,000 ($4.5 Trillion dollars) [the Turd Billionaire Tax Cuts -- which you Republican Nazis own] multiplied times whatever the ascending interest rate on the US Treasuries happens to be (currently 5.05%): 5.05% of (4.5 trillion U.S. dollars) = $227.25 billion U.S. dollars. Good thing, Small Johnson, that we have adult "loudmouth liars" like you who are "adults" who are in charge and who are "going to turn" this same economic fucking fiasco "around." So, lying Small Johnson -- where are you going to "get the monies" to turn this economic fucking fiasco around?

(3,238 posts)Did we not have a fairly well managed economy once Covid abated somewhat?
The 2% inflation goal may be forever in the mirror.
Lot of changes happening with an incoherent captain helming.
How many are assessing the ins and outs as our new routine?
Russia's economy is running on war. The Chinese have a lot of unfinished and unsold property.
We have a guy within a support network numbering millions, living his dream; his world vision.
I don't know that enough of us really understand numbers.
But people do equate from what they observe.
Don't think many voters understood those numbers under Biden. How well they appreciate those numbers in a year will be telling.

(19,364 posts)1). What you said (daily)
2). Coupling that with a SIMPLE, easy to understand message. Not a "slogan." They need to say "Here's what we propose to do about it," keep it simple, just keep reinforcing it and make it something that will matter to voters. No "conceptual" thinking here, just basic and straightforward and action-oriented.

(2,439 posts)IMHO they can use big words and civics references. I thought it was silly when Bernie was criticized for using the word oligarchy.
I also think they should give themselves permission to call out the destruction and call out the lies. The RWmedia is spewing nonsense like they inherited a bad economy from Biden.
I think people want to feel like they are part of the conversation.
Personally, I like the way Chris Murphy delivers the message.

(19,364 posts)...they only did it for one reason, to rob the bank. And that's what they're seeing. When there is an explosion and smoke and people running around...even metaphorically...no one notices the guy running away with wheelbarrows full of cash. And the guys running away are Trump, Musk, and the "Broligarchs."

(2,076 posts)I know people who actually say that Biden took the best economy in the history of the country and turned it into the worst. People would actually post memes about how gas was $1.50 under Trump and $3+ under Biden, leaving out it was that low because of Covid shutdowns. Surprisingly I dont see memes about gas being $3 anymore
