I still read and post there every once in awhile and I am not in any catagory you stated. I have been to dayum depressed since the election to make any changes to places like Bluesky that everyone raves about.
I do read the OPs here from Bs and it seems like a good place on the surface. I follow the links here to see what they have to say. I did that the other day and I was shocked. The OP was fine but the comments, they were incredibly sexist. They were, (are allowed?) to use the C and B word there. They included the 'T -What' word as well because the poster thought that was so much better than the C word. Somone actually made a meme of the C word. All those posts received hundreds of recommends!
I thought that Bluesky was moderated and did not allow such posts. I read their mission statement and they bill themselves as a safe place with respect to others.
My point I guess, no place is going to be perfect.
I will stick with DU because the MIRT team does a phenomenal job keeping this place a safe haven. Kudos to DU.
