He added that sometimes he feels people dont take seriously safety concerns raised by the Jewish community, despite the pattern of antisemitic attacks. Concerns about the rise of rhetoric like globalized intifada, Preuss said, are often brushed off as just language.
But what we saw last night was an enactment of globalized intifada, of people attacking the Jewish community people who were leaving an event that was about bridge-building and peace and how do we solve problems in the Middle East, he said, noting that the museum hosting the event is also currently showing an exhibit spotlighting the local LGBTQ+ community in D.C.

There is no remedy for antisemitic violence in the era of MAGA.

And the first step is to stop denying antisemitism in any of its forms, overt and covert.
The second step is to stop excusing antisemitism.
The third step is to stop normalizing antisemitism
The fourth step is to stop ignoring antisemitism.
The fifth step is to stop tolerating antisemitism.
And the final step is to start speaking against antisemitism. And to never stop, no matter what peer pressures you are facing.
Following these steps will leave antisemites of all creeds and denominations stand out like a sore thumb. And believe me, they are not going to like being called out.
