This funds the EPA Lead Reduction Programs going on around the country to remove lead & galvanized water supply pipes to homes. I have new copper pipe to house as of yesterday. The crews have been going block-by-block, house-by-house as needed. Mostly homes built before the 1960's I think. They did an awesome job IMO, in and out in about four hours. Water pressure is like getting hit with a fire hose now. They should be coming to a neighborhood near you.

1. The act put a $2,000/year cap on out-of-pocket medical expenses also.

This has allowed me to get some very expensive but much needed prescription drug. Wonderful.
Edit: This is for people on Medicare. Plus, my insurer let me spread the cost out over the rest of the year, instead of all upfront, with no interest charged.
