3. Performative. First Musk solemnly declares he's not making any more political contributions.

This in the wake of walking away from the (mis)Administration as people reject the Tesla brand.

Anybody else would be genuinely devastated about the damage of their actions. However, for $250 million Musk gained access to the data of 300 million Americans. In addition he holds lucrative government contracts work at least a half billion dollars.

Data is the new gold. Our data is now being churned in his Colossus methane-emitting plant in Memphis and it is worth more than Twitter and Tesla combined.

Musk needs to perform because if people knew how he is really making a killing on our backs, they would be rabid.

musk master tech? Say what? AI.

Shit, if this can happen to the universal genius (musk thinks), dog-e AI is into the USA system, it would not surprise if it goes down as well, leaving America vulnerable.

The incompetence of the republican party.

Media, internet from outside the country, etc.

It’s been something I expected to see under this regime, maybe the elimination of the internet altogether in the US.

That would harm on-line sales and it is hard to imagine big business being for this, but I think rump does not care about anyone in the US including banks and big business. I think he only cares about helping Putin destroy America and unalive most of us.
