No brains, no efficiency, no empathy, no logic...

A former NSW Police officer has recalled the horrific moment she was jailed and deported while visiting her husband in the US.

weight around. This was all about being able to add to the numbers on a report. Along with getting their jollies thinking about the strip search. These types get off on jerking people around, intimidation and seeing the response they get. If you are stoic they will continue to push until they see apprehension, outright fear etc. and they love the idea that they deprive you of food, rights etc.

In their sick and twisted minds they are the power who will determine what happens to you and they thoroughly enjoy doing things like forcing people into situations where they will be required to do a humiliating strip search, answer intimate details about conduct in relationships etc.

That site is clearly an Internet tabloid. If you look at the article links below the story, most are typical tabloid nonsense.

I would look for corroboration of the story in other outlets before accepting this as true. It also could be vastly distorted, as tabloid stories often are.

In the end it doesn't look like something that is going to be an important story.

7. I agree there are tabloid elements, but this isn't the first such story.

There are numerous stories of foreign tourists being taken into custody and kept in detention centers since Trump took office.

I don't think they're all lies, especially since the Trump administration themselves brag about treating prisoners badly. Remember Kristi Noem's photo op in the El Salvador prison.

I welcome seeing them posted on DU. However, I don't have time to fact check every story, or even very many stories.

So, I really prefer to see stories from recognizable news sources.

Maybe that's just me.

ABC News is the most-read news website in Australia for the second month running, as four of its competitors shed over three million readers between them in 30 days.

Last month, ABC dethroned news.com.au as the country’s top news site, following a renewed focus on hard news and a shift away from lifestyle content.

The national broadcaster can boast 11.7 million readers for the month of October, according to the Ipsos iris ranking report, now more than 600,000 readers clear of news.com.au, who have 11.1 million readers, down by over 650,000 from September.
