Trump is getting incrementally more combative, defensive, rude, and self-pitying with White House reporters

And, as always, a lot of what Trump squirts out is projection.

The personal attacks on reporters who ask the most innocent and reasonable questions, given the fact that he is "supposed to be the president," have skyrocketed.

If you say "tariff" or "Qatari jet," no matter how the rest of the sentence plays out, you're stupid, you're nasty, you're uneducated, you're ill suited for your job, you're a moron...like I said, projection.

Trump's talent for the last 68 years has been to eat, sleep, defecate, screw, and live in a fantasy world where getting $420 million from your daddy actually results in your producing something other than one failure after another.

If they found a combined spine, stuck together and reported on his threats, antics, lies, abuses TOGETHER--they would prevail--as would their employers. But...

I’m so pissed at Tapper. If there were issues then he should have had the balls to report then. The fact no one’s name is given just ups the sense there was as much gossip as fact.

they spew insults and flat out lie saying they bought gas for $1.98 but can't show receipts. They repeat Trump's and Musk's lies about rampant corruption and fraud everywhere.

And take a weak swing at a reporter with his powderpuff fist.

Then let the melee fly.

"There are no grades of vanity, there are only grades of ability in concealing it," wrote Mark Twain in 1898. In Trump's case, it appears that no attempt has been made to hide the extraordinarily immense, potentially destructive vanity of the man who is leading us into perdition with him. Nor do there appear to have been any efforts whatsoever to rein him in.

The whole sordid episode of the Qatari 747 is the most unconcealed example of pathological vanity (narcissism) that I can ever recall seeing .. anywhere. I think that he has already done permanent damage to this country. I fear that we are beyond the tipping point.

bcause his dementia hasn't progressed all that far yet.

His rich man's dogma let him down and he can't figure out how or why, other countries were supposed to pay those tariffs and make the US rich and strong again. He has no clue why the bond market sucks and oil prices cratered. Mostly, he can't undersyand why prices are going up HERE. Weren't all those other countries supposed to pay the tariffs?

Plus, even with increasing dementia which he can no only not control, he can't hide from himself much longer because he saw his father go through it. He also can't admit he was wrong or even misled because of his narcissism.

A few heads will roll, resulting in sudden retirements to spend more time with a family, if there still is one.

(It's going to suck for a while, folks, so refresh your knowledge of what people did during the Great Depression and act accordingly. This mess will take a while to clean up once he's gone)

they get push back or critique of any kind. You can imagine the hell of being in a relationship with one. They will often set you up just so they can scream at you, belittle you, threaten you etc. in order to feed their need to feel superior, powerful and in control. Not feeling that way is like a 5 alarm fire in their head. Been there, done that.
