My parents taught me some important lessons I never realized how important until Reagan was elected.
So I'll pass along:

In this life you are granted one power, the power of the vote. Don't throw it away. Research!

Don't listen to what they say, CHECK THEIR RECORD!
(and this was in the days before there was an internet)

Don't get your news from just one source.
(this, from the days of newspapers and three TV channels + PBS)

Once they have got your vote, they will kick you to the curb, so vote wisely.

Vote like your life depends on it, because someday, it will!
