'This Is My Network!' Jake Tapper Went Off After a White House Snub, Per Report

CNN anchor and best-selling author Jake Tapper had a “meltdown” over an off-the-record event with then-President Joe Biden that he was not included in, according to a pair of unnamed Breaker Media sources. CNN and Tapper have been engaged in an all-out publicity blitz for Tapper’s Alex Thompson-co-authored book Original Sin, which has prompted a lower-key (comparatively) response from BidenWorld.

Granddaughter Naomi Biden also dropped a flamethrower of a review on Tapper and Thompson, whom she called “irresponsible self promoting journalists”:"Just read a copy of this silly book, and if anyone is curious for a review from someone who lived it first-hand: this book is political fairy smut for the permanent, professional chattering class. The ones who rarely enter the arena, but profit from the spectacle of those that do. Put simply, it amounts to a bunch of unoriginal, uninspired lies written by irresponsible self promoting journalists out to make a quick buck. It relies on unnamed, anonymous sources pushing a self-serving false narrative that absolves them of any responsibility for our current national nightmare."

Speaking of unnamed, anonymous sources, a new Breaker Media piece hitting Tapper hard features explosive claims that include two such sources dishing that Tapper melted down when colleague Erin Burnett was selected to attend an OTR with Biden in advance of his 2024 State of the Union speech:" Those in the Biden world note Tapper had long been frustrated with the Bidens over a lack of access. Just before Biden’s 2024 State of the Union address (as is customary) a number of network anchors were invited to the White House for an off-the-record briefing from the President. As the speech was to be centered around the economy, CNN’s Erin Burnett was picked over Tapper. According to two people familiar with the matter, Tapper had a “meltdown” and called numerous people in the White House to vent his anger at the decision. “He was raging ‘I’m Jake Tapper and this is my network,” according to a person on the receiving end of one of Tapper’s calls."

What makes this anecdote different from the others is that Tapper, through a spokesperson, didn’t bother to deny it.

Lawrence O'Donnell mentions frequently on his show the disparity between the way the WH press corps treated Biden vs. red don.

He points out that they frequently yelled at Biden and often were disrespectful as they questioned him. O'Donnell said last night that in contrast, now the press is quiet and cowed. O'Donnell says they are afraid of him. Hence, the current president gets to ramble on, rarely gets followup questions, lies with impunity, doesn't get fact-checked, etc. Mission Accomplished for the pukes as this pathological liar spews nonsense that doesn't get questioned and is taken at face value.

seems to be the most logical way to get this stupid book out of the way of actually important, relevant, critical issues. Sadly, it's one of Trumps most effective tools, if not his most effective, although he discredits with lies. That would make it easy to dismiss every line that was written by simply saying this is from a discredited, disgraced, fake journalist with an axe to grind and it therefore deserves no attention. I would expect even worse details about him to continue coming out over the next few days and weeks. He better hope he is squeaky clean in his personal life because I would be shocked if the digging hasn't already started.

For example, when he falsely accused Rashida Tlaib of saying Michigan attorney general, Dana Nessel, only filed charges against pro-Palestinian activists at the University of Michigan because she is Jewish.

What Tlaib actually said:

“We’ve had the right to dissent, the right to protest … We’ve done it for climate, the immigrant rights movement, for Black lives, and even around issues of injustice among water shutoffs. But it seems that the attorney general decided if the issue was Palestine, she was going to treat it differently, and that alone speaks volumes about possible biases within the agency she runs.”

From this Jake Tapper, in an interview with Michigan’s governor Gretchen Whitmer, claimed the following:

“Congresswoman Tlaib is suggesting that she shouldn’t be prosecuting these individuals that Nessel says broke the law and that she’s only doing it because she’s Jewish.”

Nowhere in the interview did Tlaib mention anything about Nessel’s personal identity. What Tapper did wasn't journalism, it was just an attempt to stirrup drama and manufacture news off of completely made up information.
