Gov. Beshear went on CNN to talk about devastating tornados that just hit his state, but CNN has books to sell:

âI also have to ask you while we have you about news of the day today that includes this book written by my colleague Jake Tapper â¦â

(98,793 posts)from devastating tornados with the governor trying to make people aware, and this pimp network is trying to push the shrill tapper's book, only highlights what a deplorable, disgraceful, garbage outlet it has become.

In 2028, I think Tappers book hurts anyone on the inside in 2024.

I'd much rather see Pritzker.
I don't think the Presidency ending has a Political Solution. Without a political solution and the continued decimation of the Constitution by the maga Repubs, I want someone who can say with a full throat: the 3/5 Compromise is null and void by Presidential Decree - and that will start some shit re the Electoral College.
Post Trump - we do not HAVE to go back to the Status Quo. We can do 'radical things' that fit where our country is now.
I'm fed up with being ruled by an arrogant, uppity, white supremacist minority.
And uppity is a very carefully chosen word. Very deliberate.
I'm okay with a white male being the President and the leader of the Democratic Party - but he has to cater to the base. Without us - you don't win the nomination. Ask Bernie Sanders about that.

(2,805 posts)Either way, my point remains as it relates to Tappers book, Bidens health, and who knew about it in 2024 will hurt those in the inner circle. Outsiders will benefit. They can claim no knowledge and focus on the future.

(35,160 posts)We aren't looking at an entirely different political landscape.
I think we are. Which means none of the rules apply.
And with ALL of the atrocities that this current Admin has begun and will inflict over the next 5-10 years (whenever Trump dies and Vance is deposed) - This little book could very well land Jake Tapper in prison.
And I hope he does. He's a propagandist and a person of the lie.

Adam Serwer, journalist, author, & staff writer for The Atlantic, on bluesky:
"American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base."
Maybe cuz they don't know how pissed off we are. ??? Let's all call our senators & reps today & let them know we're pissed off & not going to take this shit anymore!!

Tapper has seriously dented his reputation as an even-handed journalist who can be trusted to bring unbiased information to audiences. It's a slippery professional path for Tapper, too, because insider sources who feed him news tips tend to dry up if he can't be trusted.
