Another insurrectionist pardoned by Trump has been rearrested

Yet another violent Capitol insurrectionist whom President Donald Trump pardoned has been rearrested, The Washington Post reported late Monday.

Zachary J. Alam was arrested on May 9 and charged with felony residential burglary and misdemeanor vandalism after he allegedly broke into a house in Richmond, Virginia, while the homeowners were there.

Until Jan. 20, Alam had been serving an eight-year prison sentence after he was convicted of eight felonies and three misdemeanors for his actions on Jan. 6, 2021, which included “assaulting, resisting, or impeding” Capitol Police officers.

Alam was unrepentant, with U.S. District Judge Dabney L. Friedrich giving him one of the longest prison sentences of any Jan. 6 insurrectionist because of his “lack of remorse,” The Washington Post reported in November, when he was sentenced.

It wouldn't surprise me if it's close to 50 by now

Here's 10 that were identified within the first week after Trump was issued the pardons:

Theodore Middendorf

Theodore Middendorf was accused by Illinois prosecutors of "Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child." Prosecutors said in a court filing obtained by NPR that Middendorf "committed an act of sexual penetration." Indiana state records indicate that Middendorf's victim was 7 years old.

Middendorf entered a guilty plea in that case in May 2024 and was sentenced to 19 years in prison. He is currently registered as a sex offender in the state and remains in custody on those charges.

David Daniel

David Daniel of Mint Hill, N.C., is charged with "Production of Child Pornography" and "Possession of Child Pornography," which allegedly "involved a prepubescent minor" and a child under 12 years old.

"The government's forecast of evidence is compelling and suggests Defendant engaged in sexual acts with two young girls in his own family," Magistrate Judge David Keesler wrote of the case against Daniel. "It is also alleged he took and kept photos of the genitalia of the victims. The mother of one victim (Defendant's ex?wife) appeared in court to request that Defendant not be released." Because of those findings, Judge Keesler ordered Daniel to remain in detention pending trial. Daniel has pleaded not guilty to the charges in North Carolina and that case remains pending.

The retired Green Beret from Tampa was sentenced to seven years on weapons charges.

Dominic Box, who was awaiting sentencing for felony civil disorder, remains in the same Kentucky jail as Brown. While awaiting trial for his Jan. 6 charges, Box was arrested by a deputy who said he found him passed out in his car outside a Jacksonville restaurant.

Ben Martin, a California man convicted of illegally possessing eight firearms that agents found during a Jan. 6-related search, also remains in custody after his Jan. 6 charges were pardoned.

These re-offenders are as dumb as a sack of hammers. They got away with their crimes of supporting trump in an insurrection — now apparently they think they are invulnerable, above the law.

At least 4 were rearrested for child pornography, sexual abuse of a child or soliciting a minor online

And incredibly, at least 3 killed other people in drunk driving crashes.
