O.C.G. is a gay man who had been ordered not to be removed to Guatemala, where he is from. The Trump administration then sent him to Mexico, claiming O.C.G. said he did not fear violence there.

2. What's not clear in the OP is the man said he feared for his life if he was sent to Mexico

And ICE conveniently “lost” that declaration.

Then ICE promptly removed him to Mexico where his attorneys are trying to get him out of there.

They’ve now filed an “oops! I guess he DID say he feared for his life in Mexico. We just found his statement but too bad so sad, he’s already gone”.
