Or something similar.
Is taking expensive gifts and getting personal business deals going to be the new normal for all future Presidents, or just Trump?
Are you going to just let this go for all of them or not?
What standard are we setting?
Are you for it or against it?

(12,341 posts)here in Colorado is Bang-Bang Boebert........Practically never by any of the others.......Same is True of our State Senators; Bennett and Hickenlooper....
We are finally seeing Bennett in the news only because he wants to run for Colorado Governor.......After DINO Polis is term limited.
In my opinion, they are all satisfied with going with the flow, not making any waves, and seemingly pleased with the Status Quo......Not wanting to upset any of the Republican voters that might vote for them.......their priority is purely extending their political careers.....
My favorite Governors in the past were Romer and Dick Lamb..........they rocked the boat.....Most of the others were an absolute joke, especially Gov Owens. Denver Mayors have been an even bigger joke, and increasingly being worse and worser......
My opinion of course........

(24,388 posts)2 of 3 of our last elections have had a Democratic female loser and some want to have another try with AOC because what could go wrong with that? Then there are others who prefer Pete B, an openly gay and completely qualified male but both he and AOC will pretty much assure our next president is another Republican at a time when we need to pick a candidate who can actually get elected rather than be a darling of the Liberal Left.

(12,341 posts)We need to understand that we need ELECTABLE candidates.........Sorry, but what you say is the hard reality......regardless of the facts that the woman's charisma is stellar........
In my opinion, there was no person, male or female, that was MORE qualified and experienced than Hillary Clinton to be President in the past decades. And those were all of her credentials, before ever even becoming a candidate for President......It's no small wonder Putin/Russia did all they could to keep her from being elected in 2016..... Putin knew he could blackmail Trump and other Republican Politicians and force them to do all that they have done to destroy the U.S.......The Russians/ Putin had been "grooming" Trump and others since the 1990's. AND most of all, Putin was absolutely HORRIFIED at the prospect of Hillary being elected............
