Level 1: 7% drop triggers a 15-minute trading halt.
Level 2: 13% drop triggers a 15-minute trading halt.
Level 3: 20% drop triggers a halt for the remainder of the trading day.

(this is an all-other-things-being-equal summation, additional factors can halt or suspend trading as well)

total percentage drop in one day.

There are also intermediate LULD (limit up, limit down) circuit breakers for a percentage drop or increase that occurs faster than a predetermined time period (ie: x number of minutes).
