1. Gold is on a tear

Up more than 13.5% since Jan 21. Dollar collapsing is the reason.

5. asian stocks are 3% or so lower in extended trading

4. i have a few ideas on how the world shoudl respond

1) huge taxes on US services providers (we have a serives trade surplus with most of the world). ie a 10% tax on amazon AWS clous services,facebook international ad revenue,google ad revenue excetera
2) cancel patent protection in other countries for US goods.
3) the european and japanese car companies that face factories in teh US (mostly in red states) shoudl close them in response. imagine a red state senator trying to explain to tens of t housands of now fired auto workers how they failed to vote to revoke morons tariffs costing them their jobs
